# Trainee Forms

## Definition of an Trainee

A Trainee is over 18, and is applying and taking one of our courses. This could be Introduction to Digital (ITD) or Introduction to Programming (ITP) course.

## Definition of Enrolled Trainee

An Enrolled Trainee meets the CYF eligibility criteria and agrees to the Trainee terms. In brief, to be eligible you must be over 18, on a low income, have enough time to do the course, and live close enough to attend class in person. We use a decision model to evaluate this called Rainbird. [Read More about Rainbird.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xyNGdHm2qJL5T3z3iQIk9fO9rzwaTbhG92s-wb0YhT8/edit?usp=sharing)

Enrolment is per course and expires after 18 months.

You must be an enrolled trainee to finish ITP and to do all other courses (Piscine, Software Developer Course, Launch Module, tracks, etc.)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.codeyourfuture.io/archive/archived-pages/agreements-and-rules/student-agreement.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
